Cremains – Memorial Art

As a pet owner and animal lover myself, I know how hard it is to loose such a close companion, if you are shopping for something to commemorate your pets loss I want to express my sincere condolences. Cremains –Memorial Art, uses abstract art and your pets ashes to create beautiful cremation art that will encapsulate their essence in a riot of colour and mesmerising, intricate detail.

Your art memorial will be made using UV resistant resin that has a clear effect like glass, so you can clearly see your pet’s ashes once they have been infused. Each piece of resin art is uniquely different with its own features. You can choose to personalise you memorial in several different ways.

Due to the personalised nature of using Ashes I do not accept returns or issue refunds.
Colour distribution, bubbles and ash placement are all variable from piece to piece. By ordering a handmade memorial artwork you are agreeing to accept such naturally occurring variations which add to the uniqueness of the piece. As such these types of variations will not constitute a quality defect and no refunds will be given in the event of aesthetic issues.
If for some reason your memorial arrives broken please send photographic evidence when notifying me of the problem I will endeavour to get the situation rectified either with a replacement or a full refund.

It will look similar but not exactly the same. This is a handmade item and there will be differences in each piece, even in the same order. It will also be different to the photos depending what options and colours you selected upon ordering.

What will the ashes look like?

The ashes will appear as small light grey specks within your chosen resin shape or bottle. They will be lovingly ensconced in the rectangle art work and will be seen quite clearly. They resemble grey sand.

Why do the ashes have to be inside a shape or bottle and not just scattered throughout the piece?

I have done a lot of testing and experimenting to find the best way of incorporating the ashes into your resin artwork and I found that keeping the ashes contained within a shape or bottle allowed them and the artwork to be seen and appreciated more clearly. If you really would prefer to have the ashes spread throughout the piece it is possible to do so, however please keep in mind that should you not like the effect once it is done, I can not offer you a refund as it was custom made just for you.

How many ashes do you need?

Not a lot. I ask you to send me about 5g of ashes which is roughly just over a teaspoon. Most if not all of these will be included in your memorial art. Anything remaining will be returned to you with your artwork.

Do you incorporate human ashes into art?

At this time Cremains-Memorial Art is focusing solely on incorporating the ashes of pets. That may change in the future, but for now we do not work with human cremains.

Why do I need to put my ashes into two containers with two labels?

When sending any amount of ashes/cremains through the post they must be inside two sealable containers to limit the chance of spillage during transit. The labels help me to ensure your pet’s ashes will be safely and respectfully handled and stored while in my care.

How do I know it’s my pet’s ashes?

Each collection kit has two labels, one for the bag and one for the bottle for you to write the relevant information on. I carefully process each order and I make sure to only work on one order at a time, ensuring your pet’s ashes are the only ones in my workspace. So you can be sure you are getting your loved one back.

How long will it take to create my Cremains – Memorial Art?

Once your ashes have been received your order will be processed and the artwork creation will begin. The process should take no longer than 2-5 weeks. It is sometimes less depending on work flow at the time.

If I don’t like my memorial art can I get my money back?

Unfortunately I don’t offer refunds. Firstly, this is because of the very personalised nature of the memorial. Secondly, because these items are handmade and there is always a degree of variability in how they come out. This includes how the colours mix, and the presence (or absence) of bubbles. I will not issue refunds for aesthetic elements you may not like.
